GOALS
Goal 1..To create alignment that closes the gap between employer's needs for skilled workers and employees, the Los Angeles residents who are prepared to meet the needs.
Goal 3...To assist disadvantaged youth and persons with disabilities, new labor market entrants, recent immigrants and low wage workers in moving up the career ladder by developing a wage progression strategy for low income workers. Specific progress is apparent in the improvement in agency operation and the decrease in the earnings gap faced by people of color, adults with disabilities and women.
Goal 2.To enable workers to make smooth transitions so that employees and employers may fully benefit from the new changing economy through the implementation of coherent strategies for dislocated workers and incumbent worker training.
Goal 4. To make the vision of WorkSource a reality ensuring that workforce development programs are customer friendly, broadly accessible and fully committed to continuous quality improvement.
