Community Centers, Inc. was founded in 1976 to provide specialized services for hard to serve youth. Because youth problems are intertwined within family units, the
Center gradually expanded the scope of services. In 1991 the Center filed the more descriptive corporate name Community Centers, Inc. Additional DBA's operate under the names of South Los Angeles WorksSource Center and South Bay Youth Service Center. At present, people of all ages from early childhood through senior citizens are served throughout an array of diverse program components. |

The Center's purpose is to aid individuals in becoming viable self sufficient members of society. Counseling, employment, immigration, educational, training, ongoing suport and referral services make up the multidimensional approach which has proved successful over time.

Besides operating as a community based organization, the Center is also a part of an expanding network of other agencies and business cooperating as a consortium to bring more efficient and effective services to the greater Los Angeles area. The Center is proud of its leadership role and achievements. |
